Ryan had to attend some work meetings in San Francisco so we thought: what better reason to slip down to the Bay Area for the weekend? We got to spend some quality time with the Cleveland/Krochak and Tam/Jen clans, and we even got to squeeze in a dinner with Aunt Melissa!
Maya never ceases to amaze with what a good traveler she is. Although she was a hand full on the plane ride down (she was constantly trying to jump off our laps) she didn't cry once. Once we were there, she was all smiles and LOVED watching Aubrey and Grayson and playing with all the new toys. She had no issues with sleeping in a foreign crib and even took a 3 hour nap (an true accomplishment in Mayaland...)!
Mom was especially worried about the plane ride home since she and Maya were doing it solo. Luckily, we were seated next to a guy who has 11 children. Maya spent half of the plane ride either holding his hand or reaching out to try and grab his beard--neither of which he minded!
The only bad thing about the weekend is we hardly took any pictures. Here's the photo evidence we do have from our jaunt to the Bay...
Love playing with Aubrey's toys:
Attempting to get a group shot of the kiddos:
The ladies and their mini-humans (don't know why MJ is giving the evil eye...)
This photo requires some explanation. The last night we stayed in a hotel by the airport. Since Maya's 7 pm bedtime was interfering with Ryan's ability to watch Sunday Night Football, Ryan MacGyvered a barrier between the crib and the TV by using an ironing board and sheet. That way, he could watch the game on mute without the light bothering MJ. Oh the extent we go for football...
Happy to be home in Seatown:
