Maya was very excited to toast her dad on his first Father's Day (a round of milks for everyone!). Ryan spent the first half of the day golfing with Grandpa Keith and some of his other dad friends. He ended the day by enjoying a delicious meal while watching the end of the U.S. Open golf with Maya (are we sensing a theme here?). All in all, not a bad first Father's Day for dad and his little girl...

This Little Piggy...
Despite what some of you may be thinking, this blog's title is not a reference to our rotund little bug. Rather, it is a tribute to the fact that Maya has found her feet. While MJ was hanging out on the exam table waiting for her four month check-up to begin, she decided to chew on her feet for the first time. We like to think Maya chosen that particular moment to start sucking on her toes because she knew this was a developmental milestone that her doctor would be asking about, and she wanted to make her parents look good (we thank you MJ). Regardless of the reason, she has been pretty much obsessed with her little cherub feet since then. In fact, in the morning when we unzip her sleep sack (a.k.a. wearable blanket), the first thing she does is grab her feet, stare at them, and smile. It is as if she is thinking "where have you little piggies been all my life?" We haven't yet had the heart to tell her that her feet have been there waiting for her all along...
